A bit of a list this one

Yamaha XS250 US Custom

Oh Dear!  I thought it was brilliant until I bought it.  A bugger to start (points from a Morris Marina I think).  I should have got a superdream - yup, that bad.

Yamaha XS750

The D model.  Yup it seized.  On a bend and spat me off.  Still have wistful thoughts: soulful triple, torquey, 3 into 1.  I would have one again as a sunny Sunday bike.

Yamaha XJ650

Super bike.  I would have another.  Smooth shaft with reasonable handling.  One bike I never fell off.

Kawasaki GPz900R

In its day the dogs dangly bits.  Until I stoppied on the Severn Bridge, tipped over the front and landed under the bike.  Trouble was I was bringing it back from its first service.  It never handled the same again even after being jigged and £2500 of insurance repairs.  One broken wrist

Suzuki GS1000

I bought this to ride whilst the Kwak was off the road.  Front tyre blew out on M5.  Thick clothing, crash bars and saddle bags took most of the damage.  Another broken wrist with which I rode in agony to North Wales.

Yamaha RD350YPVS I didn't fall off this one!  I had it Stan Stephens tuned, custom paint, rearsets, Harris RD500LC seat unit.  A bit mental.  A later owner was banned at 122mph on it and his mate was clocked at 138mph, but that may be a local myth.  I retired after this one.

Fast forward from 1987 to 2003

Suzuki GSXR 750 A fun razorblade! Apart from the exhaust it was pretty standard; red, black & white model.  I loved the look of it.

Triumph Daytona T595 Fragile, good looking, great sound especially with underseat pipe.

Yamaha FZR1000 EXUP A project that I used for sprinting.  My first streetfighter, well, sort of.  It still lives.

Kawasaki zx12R It didn't stay standard for long, but ended up raced up to 205.4mph.  That is true speed and NOT speedo.  It is a pity I wasn't the rider, someone slighter than me was riding.  I managed a true 195.5mph.

Suzuki Bandit 1200 Acquired from Ost.  Nice road bike but couldn't get on with racing it up the strip.  It was a useful stop gap whilst the zx off the road.

Suzuki GSXR1100 Slabsider

A project that never made it to life, but when broken and parts sold on funded the next project.

Suzuki 1200 Bandit Turbo

The latest big idea.  I have all of the parts, but no idea............................ now "finished" see project pages
