March 2008 - Finally on the bench and engine in. Not being too mechanically experienced and it being first time working on a bandit I struggled somewhat. Nothing seemed to line up, I put rear mounting bolts in from wrong side. All the usual muppet stuff. Anyway it is all in and torqued up. |

| March 2008 - Loose fix of headers and link pipe | |
| A tight fit | |
| Trying to get inlet side lined up (snail rotated around bearing housing) | |
| I think that is about right, but there will be an awkward angle to plenum | |
| Wastegate flange will need adjusting - hello mr drill and mr angle grinder | |
| Building new pipe template | |
| MTC lock up clutch installed. Needed conversion to a coil spring clutch from GSXR (basket from an L model, pressure plate from a slabbie) | |
| Goodridge oil cooler (I should have got top entry hoses, as all a bit tight with bottom entry). I made up bottom bracket, spacer tubes and threaded rods myself. Breather hose is from Pirtek - a bit cheaper and soft than goodridge | |
| Cockpit using GSXR clocks. Whilst the loom connectoors fitted the bandit loom, the wires and blank pins were all in different locations. | |
| To overcome the problem I used 12v car stereo connectors. I soldered the loom and clock wires in so that matched up | |
| TES sprocket cover / slave support of ali billet. Nice ebay find. | |
| Putting it loosely together | |
